Why skip the Blue Grotto? Entry to the Blue Grotto usually requires a 45-60 minute wait anchored in the open sea. While you wait, the boat rocks in the swell — which can be uncomfortable for anyone prone to seasickness, especially children or older guests.

Many of our travelers prefer this alternative: your captain still cruises past several equally stunning sea caves directly visible from the boat (White Grotto, Green Grotto, Natural Arch), then docks early at Capri. You gain roughly an extra hour ashore to explore the Piazzetta, walk down Via Krupp, visit the Gardens of Augustus, or take the chairlift to Monte Solaro — all at your own pace.
